How we handle your matter
Every matter at Krung Pillar begins with a thorough consultation to understand your situation fully. We then provide a clear outline of the available legal paths, the realistic timeline and scope of each, and our recommended approach — before you make any decision about how to proceed.
Initial Consultation
A private conversation to understand your situation and explain what legal options are available.
Matter Preparation
Documentation is drafted, reviewed, and all filings prepared with care and attention to Thai legal requirements.
Resolution & Registration
Whether at the district office or court, we accompany the matter through to completion and final registration.
Service 01
Prenuptial Agreement Preparation
A prenuptial agreement — registered at the district office at the time of marriage — allows couples to define how their assets will be managed and allocated in the event of separation. Under Thai law, this includes defining which assets constitute Sin Suan Tua (personal property) and which fall under Sin Somros (marital property), as well as any inheritance provisions each party wishes to formalise.
Krung Pillar prepares prenuptial agreements in bilingual format (Thai and English), conducts a neutral consultation with both parties to ensure full mutual understanding, and supports same-day registration at the district office alongside the marriage registration. This service is particularly valuable for mixed-nationality couples and those with existing property, business interests, or prior family commitments.
What is included
- Consultation session with both parties in a neutral setting
- Asset disclosure framework documentation
- Property classification (Sin Suan Tua / Sin Somros)
- Inheritance right provisions (if requested)
- Bilingual agreement preparation (Thai & English)
- District office registration coordination
Process Steps
-
1
Initial consultation: both parties share circumstances and discuss what they each wish to protect or formalise.
-
2
Asset documentation: we prepare the asset disclosure framework and property classification schedule.
-
3
Agreement drafting: the bilingual agreement is prepared and reviewed by both parties before finalisation.
-
4
Registration: on the wedding day, the agreement and marriage registration are completed together at the district office.
Process Steps
-
1
Consultation: review of circumstances, grounds, property position, and child arrangements.
-
2
Negotiation: structured discussions on settlement terms, property division, and parenting arrangements.
-
3
Documentation: settlement agreement or court petition prepared and filed as appropriate.
-
4
Completion: uncontested cases registered at district office; contested cases resolved through court proceedings.
Service 02
Divorce Proceedings & Settlement
Separation is rarely a straightforward process, and the legal dimensions — property division, parenting arrangements, and maintenance — can be among the most difficult to navigate. Krung Pillar provides composed, practical representation through both administrative (uncontested) and judicial (contested) divorce proceedings.
Our starting point is always structured negotiation. Many matters that initially appear contested can be resolved through careful dialogue, reaching an agreement that both parties find workable — and that avoids the time, cost, and emotional toll of litigation. Where court proceedings are necessary, we prepare thoroughly and represent your interests clearly and professionally.
What is included
- Full situation review and legal options assessment
- Grounds establishment for judicial proceedings
- Property division proposals and asset tracing assistance
- Child custody and visitation framework
- Spousal maintenance considerations
- Interim protective order guidance where needed
Service 03
Child Legitimation & Custody Arrangement
For children born outside of registered marriage in Thailand, legitimation is the formal legal process through which a father establishes parental rights and responsibilities. This affects inheritance rights, parental authority, and the child's legal status. Krung Pillar assists unmarried parents through the registration process with care and clear guidance.
Custody arrangements — whether formalised by mutual consent or through court order — define where and with whom a child lives, how parental responsibilities are shared, and how visitation is structured. For families with international connections, we analyse Hague Convention applicability and coordinate with relevant authorities to protect the child's welfare and the interests of both parents.
What is included
- Legitimation registration for unmarried parents
- Parental power allocation documentation
- Custody arrangement via consent or court order
- International custody and Hague Convention analysis
- Mediation coordination between parents
- Child welfare assessment preparation
Process Steps
-
1
Situation review: understand the family circumstances, residency, and what each parent is seeking.
-
2
Mediation: where parents are willing, a structured mediation session explores a mutually workable arrangement.
-
3
Documentation: agreement or court petition drafted; child welfare assessment preparation as needed.
-
4
Registration or court order: custody arrangement formalised and registered with the relevant authorities.
